The High Commission of India made a donation of medicines worth approximately 2.9 million rupees to the Health Department on Thursday 3rd November 2016 in a ceremony held at the Department.

The Indian High Commissioner for Seychelles, H.E. Mr Sanjay Panda presented samples of the medicine to the Minister for Health and Social Affairs, Mr Jean Paul Adam, in the presence of the Secretary of State, Mr Maurice Loustau Lalande and the management staff of the Department.

The donation stems from the 6 million rupee grant given to the Department by the Indian  Government for the purchase of medicines and the facilitation of medical developments.

The medicines will be used for the treatment of various diseases including, high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer and many others.
