A standing ovation for health workers

A thunderous round of applause that rang nationwide is how the Seychelles’ community showed their support for health workers on the occasion of World Health Day and Health Workers Day today Tuesday 7th April.

This national applause was the gift to all health workers from the country to express gratitude for the hard work during the outbreak of COVID-19.

Clusters of people, including health workers themselves, stood on balconies, in offices, in the streets and in their homes clapping to express their gratitude to all the health workers.

At the Mont Fleuri Department of Health headquarters proud health staff, in the company of the President of the Republic of Seychelles Mr Danny Faure and the Secretary of State for Health Ambassador Marie Pierre Lloyd, stood on balconies and under veranda to show their support to their colleagues and reinforce their commitment.
